Saturday, July 15 in the evocative setting of the Court of the Augustinians will be screened the docufilm Mi chiamo Altan e faccio vignette
In the film Altan speaks for the first time about himself, his unforgettable holidays as a child, the relationship with his anthropologist father Carlo Tullio Altan, his artistic training, the love of his life: his wife Mara Chaves. Politics and customs, sports, books, films, cartoonists, cartoonists and painters, friendship… The film tries to make his gaze on the world more explicit, a lucid look at what we all are, the Italians of yesterday and those of today. A way of telling without indulgence, but full of human understanding.
The film is enriched by the testimonies of Paolo Rumiz, Michele Serra, Ezio Mauro, by a monologue by Stefano Benni on What is an Altan and by some historical cartoons shot by actors in the flesh: Stefania Sandrelli, Angela Finocchiaro and Paolo Rossi have given their face and their voice to the characters drawn by the master.
