Fausto Vitaliano

Fausto Vitaliano is an Italian cartoonist, journalist and writer.

After his debut as a music journalist on the radio, from 1996 to 2000 he was the author of the television programs of the boys of Italia 1.

In 1998 he began his collaboration with Walt Disney Italia, initially dealing with the editorial part of Mickey Mouse and arriving only later at the script.

On the pages of Mickey Mouse he helped to co-create Double Duck, Donald’s spy alter ego, and the Topolinia 20802 series.

He has written stories for Paperinik, PK and X-Mickey.

In 2006 he designed and realized, together with the designer Claudio Sciarrone, the Episode Zero of the comic series Speed Loop, and with the same designer in the following years he published the series Cronache dal Pianeta T and the parody Don Pipotte.

He has written screenplays for the comic series Mytico by RCS and Le Storie by Sergio Bonelli Editore, but also theatrical performances and essays for children.

In 2020 with La mezzaluna di sabbia he inaugurated for Bompiani the series of mysteries starring Commissioner Gori Misticò, now in its third novel.
