In recent years, there has been a significant evolution in the way comics, cartoons and video game characters are portrayed.
In the past, the protagonists were mainly heterosexual white males, and when there were female characters, they were often subject to sexualization and stereotypes.
Today, we can observe a progressive increase in strong female characters and a greater representation of characters of different ethnicities, cultures, sexual orientations and gender identities.
We discuss it with experts who have made gender representation out of stereotypes, the cornerstone of their works.
