Mission The mission of Cartoon Club and RiminiComix is to promote animated cinema, comics, cosplay, and pop culture as forms of contemporary art, support young talents, enhance auteur cinema, and transform Rimini into a creative and inclusive hub open to all passions.

Cartoon Club highlights independent auteur animation cinema, offering audiences works that go beyond mainstream boundaries.

It encourages the circulation of European films and the cross-pollination between animation, comics, and games through the creation of original and innovative events.

It supports young talents through contests, exhibitions, and awards, fostering direct encounters between artists and enthusiasts via workshops, masterclasses, and screenings. It brings together artists, industry professionals, and the public in a creative and inclusive environment.

The festival’s two facets—one focused on animation cinema and the other on the more pop culture-oriented RiminiComix—are able to blend various languages by creating innovative and unique events, collaborating to build an active community of enthusiasts in the area.

It promotes education in imagery and visual storytelling, raising awareness among new generations on social issues through creative languages such as animation, comics, and games.

It strengthens Rimini’s cultural identity, encourages cultural tourism, and creates inclusive spaces where socializing, creativity, and passion can be freely expressed.

Cartoon Club: a Festival That’s Becoming Greener Than Ever

The Cartoon Club Festival has embarked on a concrete path toward environmental sustainability, promoting initiatives aimed at reducing ecological impact and making public access more sustainable. This commitment has been recognized with the Green Certification from Legambiente and the Ecoarea labels.
To strengthen this vision, the festival has developed a shared guidebook for staff and volunteers, supported by internal training activities to foster a culture of sustainability within the organization.
Among the awareness-raising initiatives for the public are: the Cartoon Club Environmental Award – Romagna Acque, a dedicated section of animated films focused on environmental issues, workshops for children on environmental protection, and collaborations with local associations for joint awareness campaigns.
