Marcello Mangiantini
Marcello Mangiantini was born in Pescia (PT) on 30 April 1971. After graduating from the Liceo Artistico Statale in Lucca, he approached the world of comics by participating in a couple of editions of the Pierlambicchi competition in Prato.
In 1992 he attended some comic book courses held by Angese and Jacopo Fo in the Alcatraz laboratory near Gubbio. In 1995 he joined the Lucca Comics Association, through which he published his first works.
In 2003 he began his collaboration with Sergio Bonelli Editore, joining the staff of Zagor. He has also made two episodes of the Dampyr series for Bonelli and short stories for Dragonero, Martyn Mystere, Adam Wild and Nathan Never, as well as some short stories for Bugs Comics.
He drew the graphic novel Julian, written by Carlo Lucarelli and Stefano Fantelli (Cut-Up Publishing, 2024).
The Zagor Speciale 2024, The Monster Creator, drawn by him and written by Stefano Fantelli, is currently on newsstands.
