Lucio Filippucci
Lucio Filippucci was born in Bologna in 1955. In 1975 he began working on the numerous series of the Edifumetto di Renzo Barbieri and four years later he succeeded Milo Manara in the Chris Lean series in corrier magazine Boy, for whom he also illustrates numerous short stories. In collaboration with his colleague and friend Giovanni Romanini he also works for the French market.
In the same years he illustrated numerous advertising campaigns for the municipality of Bologna and the Emilia Romagna region and created the internal illustrations of novels and children’s books.
At the beginning of the 90s he began his relationship with Sergio Bonelli Editore, becoming one of the columns of Martin Mystère and also drawing the adventures of the Docteur Mystere published in the Almanacs of Mystery. Joined the staff of Tex, he made the twenty-second Texone, Seminoles, on a screenplay by Gino D’Antonio.
In 2005 he received the ANAFI Award for best designer.
