Denis Medri
Born in Cesena in 1979, after graduating from the State Art Institute of Forlì, he attended the Comics School of Milan for 2 years.
He works as a comic artist, illustrator and concept designer, and has collaborated with several publishers in Italy, France and the United States, such as Les Humanoides Associès, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Sergio Bonelli Editore, Dynamite Entertainment, Vent d’Ouest, Dark Horse Comics, Image Comics, IDW Publishing, Lion Forge Comics, Panini Comics and many others.
Medri is the co-creator of the Marvel Comics character Lady Spider part of the Spiderverse of Earth 803, featured in various stories by the House of Ideas.
He also works in illustration and concept design for books, role-playing games and board games.
He has collaborated with industry giants such as Wizards of The Coast, CMON Ltd, Paizo Inc., Ravensburger, Fantasy Flight Games, Green Ronin Publishing, and more.
He also worked for a long time with RCS/Gazzetta dello Sport as an illustrator and concept designer.
For years, he has created illustrations inspired by the world of music, translating musical tracks into images.
He also experiments with watercolor techniques; part of this work was exhibited in 2021 in a solo exhibition at Palazzo del Capitano in Bagno di Romagna.
He is currently working on various projects for both comic book publishing and the gaming world.
He lives and works in Cesena.
