Superman – The Man of Tomorrow
Cartoon Club, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, celebrates the icon of Superman, the first superhero created in 1938 by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, with a special installation in front of Castel Sismondo, a projection on the castle façade, and a never-before-seen exhibition inside its halls. The exhibit tells the story of the Man of Steel, with a particular focus on the work of Italian artists such as Carmine Di Giandomenico (Absolute Superman), Giuseppe Camuncoli (Adventures of Superman), Marco Santucci (Injustice, Superman: Opening Day), and Fabio Celoni (Superman: Inferno). Visitors will be immersed in Superman’s legacy through original comic book pages, iconic covers, scenic enlargements, installations, and video projections — a celebration of a pop culture icon who has shaped comics and cinema for over 85 years.
Superman on Castel Sismondo
From July 13 to 20, each evening the façade of Rimini’s iconic Castel Sismondo will become the backdrop for a projection that retraces the visual history of the Man of Steel, spanning comics and animation. Meanwhile, life-size cardboard cutouts of Superman and other legendary characters will populate the square in front of the castle, inviting locals, tourists, fans and passersby to snap photos and dive into his world.
