The May 2023 flood deeply affected the people of Romagna — including comic artists. Many of them, after saving their studios, drawing tables and brushes from the water, rolled up their sleeves to tell what had happened.
We share these stories with Sara Aceti, contributor to the collective exhibition Acqua Matrigna; Valerio Barchi, who portrayed the efforts of volunteers in Fango; and Francesco Ramilli and Nicolò Mingolini, contributors to the book Un fiume di persone – Dizionario di un’alluvione, published by the Barbablù Association of Cesena.
