Gaia Cesarano and Marisa “Kuya” Salatino.

Gaia Cesarano, known by her artistic name Freezeyes, is a comic artist and illustrator born in 1997. She began studying comics in 2014 at the “Wonderland Comics” school in Treviso, while also enrolled in the Fine Arts Academy of Venice in the Art Graphics program. She deepened her passion during an Erasmus program in Gdańsk and completed her Master’s degree at the Fine Arts Academy of Florence, specializing in Illustration.

Over the years, she has completed several projects in collaboration with the Gallerie dell’Accademia in Florence and is currently working as an illustrator for Legambiente Lazio. Additionally, her work has been exhibited in various shows across Italy (Macerata, Florence) and internationally (Istanbul, Ankara).

In 2021, she debuted as a comic artist with “Rumatera. Imbrecànati nello spaziotempo” published by BeccoGiallo.

Marisa “Kuya” Salatino was born in Bari on July 26, 1992. In January 2018, she began writing an entire saga titled “The Chronicles of Florens”. That same year, she enrolled in the three-year course at “Grafite” School of Comics, and a year after completing her studies, Tora Edizioni began serializing Florens, which is currently ongoing.

In 2020 and 2021, she was selected among the top 10 in the Nuvolosa competition and was published in their official catalog. Her passion for manga led her to submit work to Starcomics, which selected her in 2024 for the magazine MangaISSHO. Her work will appear in its second issue, set to be released in July 2025.
