For years, Cartoon Club has been using cartoons and comics to raise awareness on disability, the environment and against gender discrimination. During the year he develops projects, film festivals, meetings and workshops.

AGRINET4EDUCATION
Cartoon Club dedicates a special space to the European project: AGRINET4EDUCATION, promoted by Iniziative Editoriali – Icaro TV and Cartoon Club. This cross-media project aims to promote the understanding of European agriculture and the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) among citizens, with a particular focus on the younger generations, to do so it uses videos, cartoons and comics. The project is co-financed by the European Community.

Eco protectors – friends for the earth
The project aims to involve children in the province of Rimini in environmental awareness activities through animated cinema, comics and other artistic activities.
The project is carried out with the partnership of the associations Ass. 2000GIOVANI – Bellaria – I.M., Con le Ali di Chiara – Rimini, Ass. Quattro Quarti – Rimini, Ass. Tana libera tutti – Novafeltria. The project is co-financed by the Emilia-Romagna Region.
Super@bility: art and disability
The project, since 2018, intends to develop the protagonism of people with disabilities through the world of art, with particular attention to the languages of animated cinema and comics.
The actions convey messages of social commitment and the fight against stereotypes, using innovative ways to reach the younger generations and stimulate the public to reflect and change attitudes.

Animated women
Since 2018, the festival has been creating the traveling animated film festival Donne Animate, dedicated to women’s issues, equal opportunities and gender-based violence.
This initiative stems from the awareness of the role of the media in combating and preventing gender-based violence, as stated by the Istanbul Convention in art. 17.
Games, comics and cartoons: recognizing gender stereotypes to promote more respectful and equal relationships
This project aims to combat gender discrimination by using animated cinema and comics as educational and awareness-raising tools.
It offers public meetings with cartoonists, youtubers, animators and experts in the field, aimed mainly at young people and schools.
Cartoon Club is in partnership with Acli Provinciali Rimini and Coordinamento Donne Acli.
